The cozy alternative to the "normal" ascent of the Großglockner. A tour program for connoisseurs who still don't want to miss out on the highest peak in Austria. By spending two nights at the starting point of the tour, the Salmhütte, the program is extended a bit and allows more time for lingering and marveling. With a leisurely end to the tour and a pleasant evening at the Salmhütte, the overall experience is rounded off nicely.

Requirements:
Stamina for 300 meters/hour, surefootedness, rock climbing experience is an advantage but not mandatory.
The hike begins at Glocknerhaus at 2136m and independently follows the Wiener Höhenweg to the Salmhütte at 2644m. After spending a night at the Salmhütte, the guided tour continues to Adlersruhe at 3451m and the summit of the Großglockner at 3798m. Descent follows the same route, with another night spent at the Salmhütte. This reduces the stress of the Großglockner ascent, as we often observe that our clients tend to complete half the tour on the day of arrival and immediately drive home after the tour. If you are interested in additional overnight stays in Heiligenblut, you can find more information at www.heiligenblut.at.
