Information

Requirements:

Ski touring experience, safe navigation of powder slopes in various snow conditions, fitness for a 400 vertical meters/hour ascent, and an overall average of about 1200 vertical meters per day with a day pack.

Day 1: Arrival at the GH Reiter Innerfraganter Wirt in the afternoon, meeting with your mountain guide. Here, you will be welcomed, undergo a material check, and have a tour briefing, including a safety briefing and avalanche search (LVS) emergency management.

Day 2: From Fragant to Asten. After the ascent to the Fraganter Hut, the Innerfragant opens up with several peak and transition options. After a maximum of 1200-1500 vertical meters, you will descend into Asten to the Sadnighaus.

Day 3: From Asten to Zirknitz. Several ascent options are available depending on conditions. After summits like Mohar or Stellkopf, the descent is into Zirknitz/Göritz and Großkirchheim. Maximum 1500 vertical meters of ascent, with plenty of descent!

Day 4: From Zirknitz to the Hohe Sonnblick and descent to Heiligenblut—this is the highlight of the traverse. The beautiful ascent and a glacier descent with the Großglockner in view make this a true highlight with a sporty 1500 vertical meters of ascent and up to 2000 vertical meters of descent.

Day 5: From Heiligenblut to the Brennkogel and return via the Glocknerhaus. With lift support and several options into the world of the 3000-meter peaks, this day rounds off the ski traverse with a relaxed ending in Heiligenblut. Maximum 1300 vertical meters of ascent and a long descent back to Heiligenblut.

Day 6: After wellness, good food, and overnight stay at the Nationalpark Lodge, the return transfer to GH Reiter and the subsequent journey home.
