The easy accessibility of Lucknerhaus in winter provides the ideal starting point for the tour. Requirements:
Good acclimatization and physical preparation, conditioning for 300 meters of elevation gain per hour, sure-footedness, rock climbing experience is advantageous but not mandatory, ski touring experience, and off-piste experience for the descent.
The ski tour begins at Lucknerhaus (1918m) and leads over the Lucknerhütte to the Stüdlhütte (2801m). After an overnight stay, the tour continues to Adlersruhe (3451m) and then to the summit of the Großglockner (3798m). The descent is mostly the same as the ascent. For fit ski tourers, the ski tour to the Großglockner can also be completed in one day. However, the process remains the same, except for the overnight stay!
